This is by no means a comprehensive commentary on true spiritual warfare. I'm scheduled to handle that subject in an up and coming podcast on - The Word Zone. In light of Charlie Kirk's political assassination and the swirling and clearly vicious demonic behavior around it, I wanted to make these observations. Yes, evil spirits are still here among us.
The same wicked spirits walking the earth today are the same ones that always have been since being cast down to the earth at Satan's rebellion and defeat by the Arch Angel Michael. A third of them to be exact. They're eternal beings existing in a very dry and fallen place. Dry and fallen meaning separated from God in a way rendering them reprobate and occupying a ludicrous form and state of mind. They're what we would call insane. Their final judgement awaits at the second and last coming of Christ to the earth where they will be judged finally and cast into the lake of fire, which is an inescapable place of eternal torment due to said separation from the life of God (Zoe) himself.
Whether brought by Holy Spirit or subtle suggestions by evil spirits, ideas are their conduit to us. In the case of demons, our fallen flesh is still subject to their seduction but as truly born-again Christians, we have power over them in Jesus Christ's name. They lie and say it's not true until you expose them, then they cry out, as we see in the scriptures. I've actually had this happen on occasions. If the host is unrepentant and ‘far enough away’ from God, he may be providing a stronghold through which the evil spirit can remain. I’ve known of this to happen before as well. The unsaved human ultimately has little power to deal with it, and their entrapments are wide and varied.
The word occult does not directly mean 'devil', rather it means 'hidden'. This is their modus-operandi. They hide but Holy Spirit will reveal, as He sees fit, so as a born again believer, be ready for it.
The remedy, the true eternal remedy to America's dilemma is the preaching of the Gospel of the Kingdom, the one that Christ Himself preached while here at His first advent. If these spirits can entice the weak, foolish, and sinful they will (and are) seeking a place of 'refreshing' to which they will attach themselves, a human, especially a fallen one. The unsaved at least have a chance remaining to find eternal life. It's a place (in the spirit) of refuge for them...until cast out. In the meantime, they move in and bring their ludicrous insanity to the host. It has a long and distinguished history of perversions and manifestations. Just read the New Testament...or the Internet!
At present our nation is experiencing a rampage of demonic activity and is directly tied to the Church and its, in some cases, recalcitrant attitude towards God and His Word. I wrote about this in my book, “
The Gideonian Judgement of 2020.” In the book I record the signs that we are indeed under the correcting hand of a loving father for out neglect of Him, His Word and our assignment, The Great Commission. Many of you, for several years now, have felt it and posted on social media things that when I read them, I know this is what is happening. There remains yet a happy ending, so stand strong!
All judgment from God is intended to be redemptive, not destructive. Destruction only comes when, after long enough, God decides in His own timing and wisdom that those being judged (corrected) will not turn away from sin. Therefore, He brings judgment to purge and cleanse. This is nothing new. It’s been going on since the beginning. And for those who claim that, as Christians we are not under judgment, here is where the enemy has really messed with heads. God corrects (judges) a son that he receives in order to train him. The manifestation of His correction (judgment) is proof of His love for us. Only a hireling would abandon his son. A true Father suffers with the son until the son achieves maturity. And that’s the point.
